I know many of us are waiting for an update on the Treeby Primary School as well as our Community Centre. Many of us built our home in this estate because of these facilities. We, the TCA, compiled the latest update for your convinience.
Treeby Community Centre 🏉
Back in March 2019, Cockburn Council conducted a preliminary survey to the Calleya community on the utilisation and visions for our community centre. All the results are compiled, taken into consideration, and it is currently in the floorplan design stage with an estimated date of completion around March 2022* (subject to change).
The oval will be shared with Fremantle Roosters Rugby League Club, they were awarded winter tenancy last June, which they have many junior players around and in Treeby surroundings. Hopefully, this will encourage more children and teenagers to get out of the house and away from screens 😊.
There will be an official announcement on Treeby Community Centre around March 2020 where they will officially publish the draft-designs as well as a Q&A session for all the Calleya residents.

Treeby Primary School 🎒
It was announced in December 2019 that there will be 5 new primary schools for 2022 school year and Treeby is on that list 👏. Treeby will see the construction of the new $20.3 million Treeby (Banjup West) Primary School (planning name) which will be built with permanent capacity for 540 students. Aim to finish before the start of 2022 school year. (yes, that means both Treeby Community Centre and Treeby Primary School will finish roughly around the same period , 2022 🎉)
Treeby Primary School (planning name):
- Located on Sapphire Drive, Treeby,
- Construction begins in late 2020,
- Opening in 2022,
- Accommodating 540 students in permanent classrooms from kindergarten to Year 6, and
- The new school will alleviate enrolment pressure at the nearby Atwell Primary School.
